Rex , Depeche Mode, Jim Reeves , Madness, Elton John , Abba, Shakin' Stevens , Paul McCartney , Cure , Pet Shop Boys, Status Quo , New Order , Iron Maiden , Rod Stewart, Pogues, Bananarama , Frank Sinatra , Kim Wilde , UB40, and even England's pop music God ....Cliff Richard.
How in the world did lil' skinny ol' Miss Ross outdo all of these other mega acts ??? :P ?? :P

Shenkin and Eddie ... you're both on the right wave length ...sort of ....
This record does have a lot to do with the fact that Miss Ross has been at this a long time ..... but Shenkin it doesn't factor in that she achieved this as a female ... ( the next best accomplished female in this aspect is Madonna, followed closely by Whitney Houston .... though ....)
Elvis Presley is the second runner up ... and Cliff Richard would have topped Diana .... if he hadn't mucked it up for a spell .....
and Elton John may actually now be tied with Diana .... if certain chart activity since 1996 has happened a certain way for each of them ........
