    Hey,

I think the song you're wondering about is "Get Off Your Seats" by Tommy Stewart. It's on his album which was reissued on CD not too long ago..

    Hope this helps :)

The song is "Get off your seat and Jam" by South Side Coalition, released in 1975 on a Brown Dog label 7" single ( BD 9007) a funky jam with heavy bass and horn section, kind of interesting now as they do a bit of early short rapping, also a fine example of how the "Disco" label was used to ID the extended Mix targeting Clubs or Discos of the day, as clearly this is a heavy funky piece and not what later became known as "Disco Music". The Disco long side is 6:30 and the flip (better sonics) is 3:07. And I have no idea where you can get this, as I believe this cut was obscure, even back then. :-? Good luck.

The Tommy Stewart CD says gives Larry Tinsley sole writing credit, so I'm sure they're the same songs.. I had no idea there was another version of it though, thanks for posting the details! :)

I found out about this track via some break beat vinyl compilation. I came across the 45 soon after. I don't recall what I paid, but it wasn't more than $10.
