I for one reckon that a lot of really rare disco kicks arse over the mainstream "YMCA", "Stayin' Alive" type disco because a lot of it has better rhythm, much more funkier and more exotic. Some of my super favourite rare disco songs include:
Bobby Sax & The New Messiah - Out House 73 1973
Rozza & Wine - Disco Boogie Woman 1975
Miami - Party Freaks 1974
The Blenders LTD - When Ya Git Through With It Put It Back 1972
Juggy Murray Jones - Inside America 1976
Tribe - Koke 1973
Eastside Connection - You're So Right For Me 1977
Ultrafunk - Kung Fu Man 1974
etc...
The beauty of rare disco is you discover more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more and more!!! As for the mainstream stuff, there is a limited amount that hit the charts and hearing the radio stations belting the **** out of them gets rather tiring.
The same applies to freestyle.
Australia mate! The land of many great funkateers!
