Miracles 1978 Album - Does It Exist?

I haven't been able to find any information on an album The Miracles supposedly released in 1978 on Columbia, which was their follow-up to Love Crazy. I've only been able to find listings for a single entitled 'Mean Machine'. The second Columbia was self titled, but strangely no copies are showing up anywhere on the internet.

Does the second album exist? Is it under another name? I can't believe it would be so rare that no copies are for sale.

I've looked on a couple web sites and spent about 20 minutes looking on ebay for you. I can't believe its that rare and yes it does exist because I know it has "Spy for Brotherhood" on it which like the Tempts "Power" was controversial at the time.
I've also had problems finding self entitled albums and songs that have common names. On Amazon, I find a may have to scroll and scroll to find something I know exists.
I also bought a ton of post-Smokey Miracles stuff on vinyl about 5 years ago and I believe I bought every title except that one. In summation, maybe it is rare.

    Go to this link: http://www.allmusic.com/cg/amg.dll?p...j9sa9ygb23u~T2

Then click on the title 'The Miracles'. Not much info but the vinyl album exists and is listed with a 1977 release date. (CBS catalog# 34910)

I've never seen the album in question, but

is it possible that what you're actually looking for is an album by Billy Griffin, who replaced Smokey when he left the Miracles? I know for a fact that Griffin recorded solo for Columbia, but I don't know if it was before or after he joined the Miracles. I used to own one of his solo albums but I sold it. It did have one great track, a sythesized funk piece called "Serious". I have a 12 inch version of that, and it's great.

Thanks for all your help guys.

Spy For Brotherhood is actually on Love Crazy. In fact, all of the 12"s from 1977/78 (the other was Women) were all taken from that same LP.

As for the Allmusicguide listing, that's where I first saw the album listed. I also have the Collection CD that features all of City of Angels, and in the liner notes they mention two CBS/Columbia albums, but like I said, all searches for actual copies online have come up empty handed. That's why I was curious if it had another name other than the self title.

Billy Griffin replaced Smokey Robinson back in '73 for the Renaissance album. From what I understand this record I'm looking for is not the solo record. I think he did that in the early 80s.

I figure this Miracles album would have hit the cut out bins pretty quickly, so I can't understand why its not anywhere. I don't recall reading about it being sought after by collectors. Even if they only pressed several thousand copies, would people really be holding onto it instead of their copies of Love Crazy or Power of Music, which I doubt sold well either? I'm guessing that the single 'Mean Machine' was taken from it, but that's all I've been able to turn up. All word searches online with the name 'Miracles' and company names CBS or Columbia have come up empty with the supposed self-titled record.
