Oh, by the way, it's not Samantha Fox's Touch me![]()
For years now I am looking for a disco oldie from the ealy 80's (I guess around 1984). I do not know the name of the artist, and I do not know the name of the record but I think it's called 'Touch me'. What I do know is that the record starts with bells playing the Big Ben sound from England.
Oh, by the way, it's not Samantha Fox's Touch me![]()
hmmm Cathy Dennis - Touch me (all night long) there is some bells in there
Hall & Oates - Out of touch , more bells... does it ring a bell ?
Fonda Rae with "Tuch me" (this is how the title was actually spelled!), 12" version is 9m10s.
Sometimes this track is listed as Wish & Fonda Rae. And sometimes those silly websites of course feel that there is a typo, and list the song as "Touch me".

My 12" has Wish with Fonda Rae and yes, it is spelled "Tuch Me". Always drove me crazy. Did you notice that this version and Cathy Dennis' are the same but list different writing credits? Both show Patrick Adams, but the Fonda Rae version lists him and D. Carmichael. Cathy's has herself and C. Delyle (or C. Delyle Gregory) with Patrick. Whaaas Up, Polydor? :oops:On 2002-08-01 21:27, maarten wrote:

Just a little 'factoid' for my man, Maarten. And, Illuvatar, the Wish version is 1984, six years before Ms. Dennis.

Sorry Guys, I just listened to Fonda Rae's 'Tuch me (all night long)' but thats not the record I am looking for. It misses the vital BIG BEN Bells. Any other Idea's maybe ???
Well, I know the 49ers (that's the name of the group) have a "Touch Me" out there. I think it's much later than 1984 and I really can't remember how it sounds. I'll see if I can find it.

I have the 49ers record. It doesn't start off with any Big Ben bells. Also, it's from 1989... I wish I could help you...hhmmmm
maybe it can be "touch me baby, love is the ultimate" / ultimate
hope it help eru
Ok, I think I got a bit further. I think the chorus goes like:
Touch me, you know I'm falling in love.
Touch me, you know I'm falling in love.
Touch me, you know I'm falling in love.
Falling in love with you....
I need you... I want you....
I wanna hold you, please you, touch you, ahhh
(the last ahhh I guess... I do not know for sure)
That's better! The song is "CATCH ME", by Marcia Raven. Just replace 'touch' with 'catch' and you've got all your lyrics. On 2002-08-03 12:55, Illuvatar wrote:

Yeah, NICKY!!!!!
Good solve. Just makes ya wonder if they had all that info to begin with, why not post it?
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
NickNack... You the man !!!
That was the right answer to my search that lasted years. I just listened to the single version wich is a bit lame. There aren't also bells in them so what I remember must be the 12" version (which lasts 9 mins). So I am still looking but now I know in what direction. Thanks !!!![]()

You Are right. Maybe I should have posted earlier the songtext I knew. Unfortunately I wasn't sure about the text. Maybe too embarrased. Although, I can still remember when I was humming the sound of Toccatta et Fuga at the music store to find out who wrote it...![]()

No it's not on the 12" since I have at least two different ones including a white label promo. There are no bells on them.
What you are looking for is the "Anglia Remix featuring London Big Ben" 12" on High Fashion Music of Holland. Side A starts with the Flirtations "Earthquake" and then mixes into Marsha Raven's "Catch Me" and the B side has Eastbound Expressway's "Primitive Desire."

Excellent, Bernie. I have two copies of Marcia Raven also and couldn't figure out where Illuvatar was hearing bells. I knew I had the right song, but...

Bernard, is there a way I can get a copy of that record (cd preferably). Is it still buyable ?
