New Stylus brought new life into my old records

Just want to share my experience..

I'm no audiophile or purist, but I want my old records to sound as good as possible when transfering them to digital format.
I have used ortofon concorde on 12 inch singles and the OM10 on albums . I thought some of the well played 12" should sound best with a similar stylus that I used as a DJ (High tracking force and high tip mass)

    I was wrong.

I was curious so I baught a OM20 Stylus (a "just above entry level" hi-fi stylus) and the sound was great. Less surface noice and less distortion. Better sound!!

    Well worth the $75.

The 20 is indeed a huge improvement over the 10. The 20 uses a much smaller/more elliptical stylus which is better able to track the grooves, particularly toward the end of a side.
