    Chic's LE FREAK was Atlantic's best performing single ( of all-time !) on Billboard's Hot 100.

Disco did Atlantic really well ..... 8)

Their Number Two biggest charting single was also disco

Forget light-weights Foreigner, Led Zeppelin, Phil Collins/Genesis , Aretha Franklin , CS&N, The Crazy World Of Arthur Brown ......

All the big labels were so busy pounding nails into disco's coffin ........ they remained clueless as to what side their toast was actually being buttered on .

    Dumb asses.

Regardless of their stifling attitude ...... in 1982 Laura Branigan handed Atlantic records .... a recording company that had been around since the 1940s ...... their second best all-time chart performing single..........

a Donna Summerish disco tune called

    GLORIA

Well, the only disco tune that I can see on the Atlantic label that was fairly popular in '76 is Rubberband Man by The Spinners...a #2 song for 3 weeks. Yes?
