I've been dying to know what this song is for several months now. I extracted the audio from a short video clip that seemed to be from a Soul Train documentary..

Here are some of the lyrics:

There's also a great version by Martyn Ford or the Martyn Ford orchestra which has a long 12" Mix. Im sure that one is a UK act and possibly a UK only 12''.
