Rare Philly International on CD!!

A few weeks ago, I found a recent Westside reissue of Bunny Sigler's My Music from 1976. Amazon-U.S. | Amazon-U.K. | Amazon-Germany | Amazon-France

"Somebody loves you" was a great slowjam from that set but was never put on his Columbia/Legacy best of from the mid 1990's due to a licensing restriction. Post 1976, Pir was distributed by Capital instead of Sony and that is why the Anthologies are a choppy.
I also recently discovered that bluesman Bobby Rush in 1979 did the Lp Rush Hour for Pir and that to was put on Cd back in the late 90's. Now there's an unlikely disco artist!

I'm glad the new company (I think Edsel was formerly Westside) is putting out more stuff beyond the Westside label. My Music by Bunny Sigler was one CD Westside hadn't put out. I'm crossing my fingers that they'll keep putting out other Philly International albums that are post-1975/Sony, like Instant Funk's 'Philly Jump' and the People's Choice albums 'We Got The Rhythm' and 'Turn Me Loose', with the 6 minute 12" single-only cut 'If You Gonna Do It' as the bonus cut.

Yes, it was issued in September 2005 on Edsel but the credits list other labels like Westside, Demon, ect.
The Bobby Rush I believe was an earlier pressing on Westside. I've never seen it except for online. However I was not really looking in the blues section for PIR.
