    Stargard "Back To The Funk"

Nice little gem from their BAck 2 Back LP. It sounds so muuuuch like they went back to the Whitfield sound after the Changing of The Gard. Was this ever a single?

Hot, funky track. So anti-disco though :( Still can't get enough of it though..
They did in fact go back with Norman Whitfield on that album. The only album of theirs where he has full production credit.

    What about "Wear It Out"?

Back to the Funk has great loud handclaps and a Which way is up type groove. I liked Changin of the Guard LP too, but its much more disco. Though Runnin from the Law has a Whitfield style groove.
