    Silver Convention: Run Rabbit Run

As many people know, the original title to "Fly Robin Fly" by Silver Convention (1975) was "Run Rabbit Run". The reason I heard it was changed because someone had heard of a song called "Run Rabbit" before. Does anyone know what the lyric would have been? My guess:

    Run Rabbit Run
    Run Rabbit Run
    Run Rabbit Run
    Run Run For Your Life

Any other guesses or thoughts? Thanks.

My guess would've been "off into the sun" or "ahead of everyone" "dig that boogie fun" or "until the day is done"...

Even "Run Rabbit Run" would sound strange if they had used the same melody and sound. I'm glad it was switched to "Fly Robin Fly". As you may have noticed from writing in the past, this happens to be my favorite disco instrumental song.

    On the farm, every Friday
On the farm, its rabbit pie day.
So, every Friday that ever comes along,
I get up early and sing this little song:

Run rabbit - run rabbit - Run! Run! Run!
Run rabbit - run rabbit - Run! Run! Run!
    Bang! Bang! Bang! Bang!
    Goes the farmer's gun.
    Run, rabbit, run, rabbit, run.

Run rabbit - run rabbit - Run! Run! Run!
Don't give the farmer his fun! Fun! Fun!
    He'll get by
    Without his rabbit pie
So run rabbit - run rabbit - Run! Run! Run!

    That's real cool, Videoskooter!

I'm glad that this disco music forum exists so we can make up such neat ideas. Plus, it's good to know that I'm not the only person who listens to a song like "Fly Robin Fly" that is more than 30 years old! Time has flown over the years!

Yup, I was joking with Marky. Sorry Discotom, I don't know the lyrics to Silver Convention's "Run rabbit run" but if this fact is true, there won't be many lyrics coz' "Fly Robin Fly" is not that Shakespearian either

"Run, rabbit, run, let's all have some fun" or something like that.

    But....it's a great classic, that's for sure!

I didn't realize that those were the real lyrics. I'm just trying to place them with the same melody of the song. I'm guessing the song never existed since it was changed to "Fly, Robin Fly". However, I still to this day like this song!

    oh you jokesters!!!!!

I'm sure they just sang "Run, rabbit, run" instead of "fly, robin fly" as the chorus ...and then let the electric strings go to town on the rest of it!!
    "Lost inside adorable illusion...."
