I am a big fan of Millie Jackson. I have two albums she released in 86/88 on the Jive label.... Imitation of Love & The Tide is Turning.
I believe she released a third album that is hard to track down and I think it was called "Back to the ****" ! ??
Is this worth tracking down ? Is it as good as the other two albums ?

"Back To The ****" is actually a live album.. I haven't heard the entire thing, but some of the ones that I did hear like "Love Stinks" and "Muffle That Fart" (how appropriate lol) were hilarious.. Judging from the amazon.com reviews though, it probably isn't as good as her two previous live albums, but definitely worth it for that cover alone! :lol:

I remember that album cover - how funny is that! I could never figure out why she is holding one shoe, however...

Talk about times changing, can you imagine an artist doing a cover like that today? It would never fly.

The album explains that the title is a reference to how she was giving up doing clean albums and returning to profanity. :)

I wouldn't call it the worst ever... it accomplishes what it sets out to do: it gets your attention, and it makes you laugh. It is primarily a comedy album, after all.
