I watched part of it tonight, I caught a few of the ones you mentioned.. Another one I heard was "Zodiacs" by Roberta Kelly, of all things lol.. It was around when Poland came out.. Hearing that one gave me a bit of a chuckle, must have been a hit in Italy..

It was a tremendous hit in Italy in August of 1977 and became one of the original anthems for them. Hands in the air, screams, tables falling over in the rush to the dance floor, like they can't miss a second of it. In every club they spinned the whole a-side, too. Got carried away with it meself while there naturally, still love it to death. - Bionda's "One For You One For Me" was heard too at one point last night + Alain Sorrenti's "Figli delle Stelle" from the film of the same name he starred in, along with Jennifer of "Do It To Me" fame/infamy.

    Anyone know?

    Hi there,

I also checked out the tunes played in the Olympic ceremony. But 2 songs I couldn't get. Does anyone know them as below?

1, The tune played between ''Relight My Fire'' and ''You Should Be Dancing'' when Georgia and Germany entered.

2, The tune played beteen ''Jump (Van Heiren)'' and ''Disco Inferno (The Tramps)'' when Thailand and Turkey entered. I thought maybe it was Barry White's song.

Thank you for your help in advance!

I was surprised, not that I am complaining, but what's with all those disco songs 30 years later in the winter games ? Why didn't they choose to play rock&roll, or charleston? What is the relation with the olympics ? I recall Kylie singing "love is in the air" in Sydney 2000, but just for one song for the entire ceremony.

In addition to the tracks mentioned above, I also heard:
John Paul Young - Love is in the air
Barry White - The first, the last, my everything
Donna Summer - I feel love

At times it was difficult to tell what was being played as the commentators were drowning the music out. :x

It seems like the spirit of "Disco sucks" is still alive and well in Hicksville USA:
