ABC TV looking for RETRO Families!!!

ABC Television's hit reality show, Wife Swap is looking for Retro families that are stuck in the 70s…who love 70s music, dance and just wish the 70s never left! Moreover, we are looking for families that are full of energy, boisterous, loud, fun loving and just a plain old interesting family.

In case you are unfamiliar with the show, the premise of Wife Swap is to take two different families and have the mom's switch place to experience how another family lives. Each family should consist of two parents and at least one child over the age of five and should reside in the continental U.S. It's a positive experience for people to not only learn but also teach other families other ways of life.

Wife Swap airs on Disney owned ABC television on Mondays at 8 pm (the family hour)- which was on before Monday Night Football! There is another show that copies ours. We focus on having fun, learning and teaching. They focus on conflict. I just want to make sure our show doesn't get confused with theirs!

My hope is that you could forward my information on through out the Retro/70s community so that if anyone is interested, they will be able to reach me. Maybe you even have a family in mind that you could refer me to. That way, if they are interested, they can give me a call. This is a very unique experience that can be life changing for everyone. In addition, each family that tapes an episode of Wife Swap receives $20,000 as compensation for their time. Anyone who refers a family that appears on our program receives $1000 as a 'thank you" from us.

I appreciate you taking the time to read this - I know it is an unusual request. If you have any questions or concerns feel free to call or email me with the information below. Please let me know if you think you will be able to help me. Thank you for your time.

    Best regards,

    Virgil

Yech !! A family hour show for god damn Disney . (and it's so family oriented .... they tastefully call it WIFE SWAP :P :P  )

There is another show that copies ours. . They focus on conflict. I just want to make sure our show doesn't get confused with theirs!
Thanks for the warning ..... So, in other words , your show is the more boring one .

We focus on having fun, learning and teaching
Really ? Then why isn't it on PBS !! :P Well that's good . I was concerned your real focus might be on the ratings, advertising , and corporate profits.

I do have a "stuck in the 70's" friend who says he might be interested in your wife swap game . But the first thing he wants to know is , this other wife .... this " stuck in the here and now " hip-hop rap-crapping wife he has to put up with ........ she got big tits ??

In Belgium we have "The new mom". Same concept, same bull.

I'm always amazed what people will do to get on tele. They show every corner of their house. Every habit, every personal thing, just for the benefit of "15 minutes of fame".

    1. Stop killing the 70's spirit with your avalanche of so called 70's shows!

2.Start respecting people's privacy and start protecting people. They do have to go shopping in public next day, you know.

3.I WILL not swap my wife with another man, even for big money. I WILL not have my personal life and privacy exposed!

Why am I saying this. In Belgium they look for a funfair-mom who wants to swap with a civilian mom and they asked me.

I'm sick of that sort of tele

RESPECT THE SANCTITY OF THE FAMILY! Damn U! GET A JOB! GET A LIFE!

Hey Mr. ABC man - I came up with a much better idea for a show! Why not do 'Family Swap' - my wife and family would certainly consider coming to live the life of a TV Producer (like Aaron Spelling) for three weeks in Hollywood, maybe Malibu, live in his house, drive his Cadillac go to his clubs, use his credit cards etc. and he can come and live my life in London. Karaoke on Saturday night is soooo much fun down the local pub, eating kebabs and watching TV!! I'd even do it for less than $20,000 ($!8,000), my wife wants $22,000 & my kids $10,000 each!!

It's my youth and my memories and I sure as hell ain't gonna sell 'em to TeeVee for 20 large.

And every time American Broadcast TeeVee gets near the 70s they do nothing but make a huge sick and tasteless joke out of them. These generation X types are so completely clueless about the reality of that time. And with their penchant for making a fast buck, I'll have nothing to do with them.
