"France, in the name of its Minister of Culture, Renaud DONNEDIEU de VABRES, awards Cerrone with the distinction of "Chevalier de l'Ordre des Arts et des Lettres" for the artist's contribution to the radiance of French culture, both for his country and the rest of the world"

Sir Cerrone is now a Knight in the order of Arts and Letters.

Well deserved, n'est-ce pas?

BTW, did you guys notice how cheap is the photo-montage of Cerrone "live" you can see above? Maaaaaannnn!

I nearly forgot about cerrone; until I heard episode 29 of the

Smooth Groovers Podcast

They did a small feature of some of his 70s tracks .
They're great!!!

I found on the web that he's been making music since then.
Worth Checkin' out?:)

It is just hard to imagine the old disco producers as grandfathers and great grandfathers. Cerrone with white hair, jowls and wrinkles; who'd ever thought? And, the same goes for me. I'm about 70 lbs heavier, no wrinkles but dry and dusty. Can't be young forever.
