Its a shame you don't live in L.A. I've been involved in a couple of clubs that only play DISCO & HINRG. Here is an event I will not be playing at but these DJs that are playing are great...

The was also Elegante on Tonnele Ave, Soap Factory was the lead and then there were the fun parties held @The Embassy Theatre in Guttenberg, also the DANCES held throughout Hudson County which featured the likes of Karen(Hotshot) Young, Cissy Houston(yes, of "Think it Over" fame), Musique and others I can't recall right now.

I'm interested to know how the music usually shapes up during these events. My experience with most retro nights is that it's usually only the biggest hits that are played...and with that, we're talking the stuff everyone recognizes from the radio.

I've often thought of putting on some event like that here but it always comes down to me realizing that the music I end up playing would be quite disappointing for me personally...just how many would remember Margaret Reynolds "Keep On Holding On" or L.A.X...

My friend, you would be in for a HUGE SURPRISE. These DJs were playing all the gems & not once did I hear a "radio hit". The first DJ really played some obscure DISCO/HINRG. I recognized a few tunes like "Brothers" & "ClockWork Toys" among others. Here is a quick movie of one of the DJs that night. Kind of gives you an idea of the atmosphere. There were over 500 people there. It was really cool... Check it out... http://www.gruvworks.readywebsites.c...ACETOFACE2.mov
