Is this a disco song? If not what style and sex?

It almost sounds like New Edition's "I'm coming home" but its a ballad.

but this is a disco song from about 1982 sung by a group of men only,
like the temptations or others
i recorded it from a radio disco program in 1982 and while i have the whole song, i have been wondering about it for 20 years.
i still would like to know who the artist really is.
