Early in my days of collecting funky music, I got this computer game called "Interstate '76" which is a car game set in the year 1976 and on CD 2 it has really cool funk/disco/jazz funk soundtracks for the game which sound absolutely 1970's without a hint of the modern style of dance. Also I noticed that a couple of the songs were instrumental versions of a couple of well-known funk songs such as:
Bootsy's Rubber Band - Stretchin' Out In A Rubber Band 1976
Curtis Mayfield - Future Shock 1973
And maybe some of the other songs were taken from 70's funk recordings. All I can say this is a supercool soundtrack and is worth checking out. If you've got this computer game you'll know what I mean.

I also like the music of that game - one of the songs sounds a littlebit like Brothers Johnson's "Get The Funk Out Of My Head", I think.

The Brothers Johnson track is actually called "Get The Funk Outta Ma Face" which sounds a bit like "get the f$#k out of my face"                . Same goes with Bar-Kays "Shut The Funk Up" it sounds a little like "shut the f$#k up"                   . Anyhow the track that sounds a bit like "Get The Funk Outta Ma Face" is the main theme to Interstate '76.
