Question for those who listen to Music Choice

I listen to the Disco channel and others as well on Music Choice. For years now, no matter what channel, periodically I get a quick 1 or 2 second break. Just silence and then it comes back. I have never been able to put a time on how often it happens or if there's a pattern but it is fairly frequent. Comcast basically tells me it doesn't happen. They listen all day long in the office and it doesn't happen. I have switched out cable boxes etc. Has anyone else experienced this?

Yes, I have. And it is very annoying.

I think the problem is that Music Choice is digital and that is why it happens.

To get Music Choice, don't you have to pay for a digital tier? I do.

But even if you don't pay for a digital tier, I believe Music Choice sends their signal out digitized.

Have you ever noticed, on other channels, the picture stops and then pixalates back in? Again, it is the digital box.

It's sort of like when your computer screen freezes.

As the USA is being forced into High Definition in the next few years, I think more and more consumers will notice this. And broadcast stations are already planning to stop sending their signals through the airwaves.

But I hope that future technology will fix this.

Thanks for letting me know. Mine is digital as well so that must be it. I have even noticed lately that sometimes when an actor is talking the mouth movements are behind the voice a bit.
