Google-Porn Vs. American Department Of Justice

The US Department Of Justice (Alberto Gonzales) is trying to force Google to coöperate on an investigation on Internet-Porn.

Google is asked to provide one million random IP-adresses and the specific data, during one week, of the people's search for porn. More specific, which terms they use and which sites they've visited after they searched for da thing.

The department says MSN and Yahoo have already provided those data but Google categorically refuses as they don't want to breach their customer's privacy.

The purpose of all this is that the government wants to install the Child Online Protection Act from 1998, which says that adults have to registrate on a site if they want to see porn, this for blocking those sites for the children's eyes.

The Supreme court had already frozen that law, considering it as an infringement of the freedom of speech but Justice wants to give it another go!

Of course this wont come as a surprise to you Johan, I've been following this. Are you starting to see what I'm talking about with this criminal cabal!
As you wrote, they are justifying this invasion with a law the courts have already struck down or blocked! Of course they don't care what the law is and do what they want anyway.
