    Funniest Movies Ever (British Choice)

The Brits have picked their favourite silver screen comedies ever and the winner is:

1.Monty Python's "Life Of Brian"

    2."Airplane"
    3."Shaun Of The Dead" :o
4."Austin Powers-International Man Of Mystery"
    5."South Park"

The Britons have a good sense of humour IMO except for the vastly overrated humbug of "South Park".

My favo still is "Monty Python's The Holy Grail".

    "Pink Flamingos"!

Or one from a little earlier period: Roman Polanski's "The Fearless Vampire Killers"!
    Gawd I love that movie.

Monty Python's "The Meaning Of Life" is hysterical, also Mel Brooks' "Blazing Saddles" and "Young Frankenstein".

Any news footage of Jack Shitrac that Frog bigshot. :P

Ahh! Mais non, mon ami Videoskooter. This was not a poll of ordinary Brit people, BUT supposedly of comedians, scriptwriters, directors etc from both sides of the pond. Not too sure myself that the pollsters were rather heavily into asking the opinions of people in the industry on this side of the great divide, thus rather skewing the results.

I was surprised that Life Of Brian attained the #1 position.

A Fish Called Wanda or Austin Powers? This Is Spinal Tap or There's Something about Mary? The funniest films of all time battle it out in this definitive list of The 50 Greatest Comedy Films, as voted for by the British public. Over 22,000 votes have been cast to find the nation's favourite comedy film
Quinny - it was actually a poll conducted by Channel 4 of 'ordinary' viewers - if you can call viewers of Channel 4 ordinary!

Ahh! I've been watching too much TV lately. I apologize, yes this was the programme that had polled (22,000) viewers. The all time greatest sitcom (or whatever it was called) was the programme that polled industry insiders. Frazier came top....and quite rightly too!!
