1st Time listening to a great Song

Do ya'll have a favorite song that when you heard it you had to find out who sings it? I have 2 of them. The 1st was "Dancin Queen". Man, I called the radio station and when they told me Abba I walked to Sears the next day to buy the 45. (I was a broke teenager in those days). My 2nd was "West End Girls". Heard it at a club and I walked to the DJ Booth to ask who sang this awesome jam. The next day I went to the Record store and asked if they had Pet Shop Boys, they all started laughing at me. No one in the store knew who they were. I thought maybe I misunderstood the DJ. I walked out of the store really embarrased

Yes, many times this has happened. The harder stuff like BB King or Buddy Miles, I could take or leave. But when it comes to soul ballads, my goal is to track down pretty near every one from 1964-1996.
I buy online but not at auctions. I'll occasionally buy vinyl buy stick mostly to CDs.
The last song I went absolutely crazy over was "Good Time" by Fat Larry. I bought it on an import for $35.
