This question was asked before. As I remember the answer that the New Yorkers approved was "Moody Mood For Love" (1952) by King Pleasure with Blossom Dearie-- a vocal version of James Moody's variation on the standard "I'm In The Mood For Love".
Now George Benson also covered this tune as "Moody's Mood for Love" in the early 1980's, produced by Quincy Jones with Patti Austin on the female vocal. Someone said it was this version, but I think the consensus was the King Pleasure version.
Kids, ya hang around here long enough and it's all deja vu, well mostly "all", if ya catch my drift.
