Good one Jeff. I'm pretty sure I know, but I'll shut up for a while and give somebody else a chance.
Quelle surprise!!!!!
I have no idea how many people are familiar with this film, but it's one of my favorites, and this quote is one I actually do say because I relate to it completely:
"Fresh breath is a priority in my life."
\"...a once in a lifetime feeling that returns every week...\"
Good one Jeff. I'm pretty sure I know, but I'll shut up for a while and give somebody else a chance.
Quelle surprise!!!!!
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
So Jeff... I guess you don't care for guys with poor dental hygiene?
Does anyone?!!
I meant that I use that line in reference to my own breath, but sure, I'd also rather not feel (taste?) like I'm sticking my tongue into an ashtray or a garbage can, you know?
But back to the quiz...
\"...a once in a lifetime feeling that returns every week...\"
OK, Jeff AKA Bitchy with a "B" says my guess is wrong, BUT I should post it so all the world know I be stupid.
It sounded like Matthew Broderick to me. I guessed "Election". WRONG!!!!!
Now I think I heard this in something I saw in the last few years. Next guess: John Cusack in "High Fidelity"???
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Your breath is starting to smell like your foot, Marky.
Wrong again.
\"...a once in a lifetime feeling that returns every week...\"
Hey, I'm having my legs waxed and my feet paraffin wrapped as I type. Slow day in Hollywood.
I have no more guesses. BUT, I do wanna confirmation that Matthew Broderick DID NOT SAY THIS LINE in some movie.
Eh, "B" Bitchy???
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
I can't say definitively that Mr. Sarah Jessica Parker never uttered these words in some film at some time, but he did not say these words in the film I'm thinking of.
Is that answer vague enough?
\"...a once in a lifetime feeling that returns every week...\"
Matt Damon. "Good Will Hunting"?
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Keep hunting...
\"...a once in a lifetime feeling that returns every week...\"
Is it from "Making Love" where she screwed up and bought the 'striped' toothpaste and he's pissed off because he's so confused he's getting no 'nooky' AND no 'dicky'?
Hell, I don't know. I just wanted to say something silly.

Hey Bitchy with a "B",
Maybe I only think this line sounds familiar cause YOU used it in an e-mail to me, back in tha day. I know you dih-id. Don't say you dih-ent.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
That is a GREAT guess, Nick! It's wrongbut it makes good sense!
I'll have to take your word for it that I once used this line in an e-mail to you, Marky, since you never forget anything....
OK, shall I offer a clue? Or have we already lost interest?!
\"...a once in a lifetime feeling that returns every week...\"
I think I just figured it out.
I bet it's from "Jeffrey" and probably Steven Weber said it.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Oh, Marky.... Would I be so obvious as to pick a quote from "Jeffrey"?!
Wrong decade. (Clue!)
\"...a once in a lifetime feeling that returns every week...\"
Sunt.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Not much of a clue, true.
OK--1980s.
\"...a once in a lifetime feeling that returns every week...\"
OK, I'm sure this is wrong. But someone's gotta play your damn game.
Harvey Fierstein in "Torch Song Trilogy".
IF NOT--how about some fucking clues????
First, is the speaker of the line male? (I keep assuming it is)
Second, is this a mainstream movie (Tom Hanks/Meg Ryan) or a more homo-oriented one("Parting Glances"/Longtime Companion", etc.)????? Eh, Bitchy with a "B"?????
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
I'm sitting here watching Letterman and reading my new Entertainment Weekly with Vin Diesel on the cover (Rough trade sexy, I'm thinking)Anyway, I turn to page 10 and I see little photos of Neil Patrick Harris and Fred Savage and I have an epiphany.
It was Anthony Michael Hall in "Sixteen Candles" who said it. This feels dead on.
I kept thinking Matthew Broderick in "Ferris Bueller" (same era/genre) but everyone at work said it wasn't that movie (What? they have it memorized? Apparently). Anyway, I'm betting I'm finally right.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Kismet!!!
Craig Kilborn just came on.
His first guest tonight?
ANTHONY MICHAEL HALL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
You and your epiphanies. You probably went to Blockbuster and rented every single movie that came out in the 1980s...
But you're right! It was Anthony Michael Hall in "Sixteen Candles." That film has been a source of many quotes for me.
Well, thanks for humoring me, Marky. (It doesn't look as if our movie quotes quizzes are going to be too popular though.)
\"...a once in a lifetime feeling that returns every week...\"
Jeffy, if only we could tie our movie quote quiz game to the fucking World Cup, we'd have a winner. I will nevah forget it. All those posts I didn't read!!!!!
But ya know I'll play with ya. Old queens with movie trivia on their brains need an outlet too.
I just wish I hadn't posted two pages of my faves-BEFORE we got the idea to make a game out of it!!!!
I'm thinking of something for round 3.![]()

I don't know what the hell are you talking about. I was just to say it was John Travolta in "The boy in the plastic bubble".
Anthony Michael Hall...
As in "The Breakfast Club" AMH, now all grown up and doing "The Dead Zone" on tv?
And, now I don't feel bad because I never saw "Sixteen Candles". There was a guy I worked with at the time who was salivating over Molly Ringwald. His obsession made me 'ill' which might be a reason I skipped the film.
