I have no idea how many people are familiar with this film, but it's one of my favorites, and this quote is one I actually do say because I relate to it completely:

"Fresh breath is a priority in my life."

It sounded like Matthew Broderick to me. I guessed "Election". WRONG!!!!!

Now I think I heard this in something I saw in the last few years. Next guess: John Cusack in "High Fidelity"???

I can't say definitively that Mr. Sarah Jessica Parker never uttered these words in some film at some time, but he did not say these words in the film I'm thinking of.

I'm sitting here watching Letterman and reading my new Entertainment Weekly with Vin Diesel on the cover (Rough trade sexy, I'm thinking)

Anyway, I turn to page 10 and I see little photos of Neil Patrick Harris and Fred Savage and I have an epiphany.

It was Anthony Michael Hall in "Sixteen Candles" who said it. This feels dead on.

I kept thinking Matthew Broderick in "Ferris Bueller" (same era/genre) but everyone at work said it wasn't that movie (What? they have it memorized? Apparently). Anyway, I'm betting I'm finally right.

But you're right! It was Anthony Michael Hall in "Sixteen Candles." That film has been a source of many quotes for me.

Jeffy, if only we could tie our movie quote quiz game to the fucking World Cup, we'd have a winner. I will nevah forget it. All those posts I didn't read!!!!! :lol:

But ya know I'll play with ya. Old queens with movie trivia on their brains need an outlet too.

I just wish I hadn't posted two pages of my faves-BEFORE we got the idea to make a game out of it!!!!

I'm thinking of something for round 3.

As in "The Breakfast Club" AMH, now all grown up and doing "The Dead Zone" on tv?

And, now I don't feel bad because I never saw "Sixteen Candles". There was a guy I worked with at the time who was salivating over Molly Ringwald. :roll: His obsession made me 'ill' which might be a reason I skipped the film.
