    OK,
I have a question, I have a very rare reissue 12" of Alfie Davison "Who Is Gonna Love Me" from '93 and in the club I could swear it was a little longer, is it just me and my memorie or is this 12" edited a little? The time on the track is a little under 7 min. Is this full? I know the B side from what Ive been told is killed (not only **** xs 9000000 quality) of "Love Is Serious Business". Also, on the 1996 Pure Records reissue of Cerrone 3 (Supernature) on CD, they chopped almost the entire first 10 to 12 seconds off the beginning of "Supernature" (it starts exactly like the shitty 6 min reissue edit), whats up with that? Anyone know the answers to any of these questions?

    DJ Jimmy,

I have this 12" at home, so I can't check the timing now. What I found interesting is that this was an early example of 2 different DJ's doing a mix on side A & side B. I don't recall who was on side A, BUT Tom Moulton's was on side B!!!!

    Good song!!!

I can't give a definite answer, but it's possible that the clubs played a slightly longer promo version. I have heard several records where the promos have an extra minute or two of beats to help DJs mix the track in (like one of Pat & Mick's tracks, can't remember which one), or an extra bridge or instrument solo (like the horrendous Tommy Musto mix of Céline Dion's "Unison", which as I often mention, has single-handedly caused me more grief than any other piece of music produced).

Cerrone's stuff seems to get needlessly butchered a lot. From the missing intro dialogue on the original US vinyl release, to the bad edit they did on the Unidisc CD, as well as compressing the hell out of his stuff. I'm still trying to find a vinyl copy of Cerrone VI to hear what it's supposed to sound like.

    Ok,
It's the Moulton mix I have on the reissue 12" with an edit of "Love Is Serious Business" on the b side. How does the 6:58 version differ? Is it a different type mix or is it a different way of extending it? Let me know so I know if it would be worth tracking down the original 12" vinyl.
