Wow Chevy is going retro with their new Camaro! That grill is a throwback to the old Camaro SS of the late '60s early '70s. I'm surprised in that I actually like this design apart from a few things here and there. This car is nice. Chevrolet is starting to kick some butt. In fact, without having seen it in person, I think I like the Camaro better than the new retro styled Mustang.
Show up at my door in that Video and I'll show ya what panty puddin is all about!!
If I show up with this at your door we gonna eat pudding?
Hell no, we go racing till every cop of L.A. is following us![]()
Bernie, the protype of the new Mustang was cool. The released model is not so thrilling.

Hey Johan, I haven't seen it but I've heard rumors about it. It look awesome, and I'm a pontiac man. I did read that some gm pinhead said there wont be a pontiac counterpart
If and when I do a trade, I might consider the Chevy.
Paul, I think you'll just have to wait a little longer. Recently, the bosses from GM announced that they were heading for the 50's designer-wise. They want to release models that make the people dream again.
For me that's a good thing coz' I'm not a big fan of today's mass-design. Look what they have done to BMW. I think they got the message though coz the new 7-series that'll be released in 2008 is much more classic.
I think this Camaro is one of the first signs. As far as I know Pontiac has only these ones for ya: the Solstice and the GTO 2006.
For us Europeans there's a major problem: they usually are not imported over here
And after the concept the car becomes reality but not so exciting I'm afraid :o

What a let down :cry:Originally Written by Videoskooter
And GM and the other American auto makers can't figure out why their cars do not sell well. You'd think they'd get a clue after two+ decades of decline.
That's been the problem with GM since the late 1970s. They assumed that they'd always have a core of older American car buyers to keep them going. Well now even those older consumers are buying Camrys, Avalons, Accords and Sonatas. What a let down

The Camaro looks great but it's past reliability was poor. It was marketed at 20-something males who didn't care about quality. GM doesn't even export American models anymore as far as I know. Up until the 1980s Chevrolet had a prescence in Germany where the Caprice was popular. Then they restyled it into oblivion and Germans avoided it.
Toyota, Nissan and Honda build quality cars in the USA, so the American worker is not the problem. All the large auto makers atke the safe route now but GM seems to take forever to do anything now.
The Corvette still sells well and the new C6 series is 505 BHP of speed. My daily ride is a Cadillac Eldorado. I absolutely love it and I've driven a lot of cars (including a 5.3 XJS). Anyway 300 HP, goes like stink, 77k miles trouble free, 27.8 mpg @ 70mph. I'm gonna hate like hell to replace it when the time comes. The point is; why doesn't GM build the same quality into their family sedans?
IMO the new car for 2006 for me is the 2006 Subaru Outback wagon LL Bean edition. Moss green Tan leather interior. Just ordered it from the dealership!!
Hey Lina, you're back :D Three Big Kissies and all the best for 2006!
