Did Paul ever mention Robert Mugabe, the president of Zimbabwe?? He's doing the same thing as Chavez. He confiscated the grounds of the white population to give it to the African inhabitants.

Mmmh, yes, I can go with that. But I can't go with the result: an economy that's destroyed, farmers that can't feed their families, people that are living in barracks. Excuse me, were living, coz Roberto has destroyed those and chased those people away. He couldn't stand the sight of them. Great achievements

here, while you were away I did some of your home work

"based on documents revealed by KGB archivist Vasili Mitrokhin when he defected in 1992"

"The book describes Allende as "by far the most important of the KGB's confidential contacts in South America," because he was a democratically elected Marxist and Castro's ally. In KGB lexicon, a confidential contact is more like a friendly source, not an agent."

Jimmy Carter screws up Venezuela with his certification of fraud elections in that country.

"In his initial post-election reports, former president Carter described the process as clean and urged both sides to accept the results on "good faith." Instead, he should have noted the restraints on observers, government maneuvers to pack the national voter list, intimidation of voters by the president's supporters and lack of transparency in the polling process and subsequent audit"

The Looney Left is beyond logical persuasion. There entire philosophy is based on America-bashing, even within America.

The EuroLefties piss me off the most. We have saved France twice since 1914, rebuilt Germany after WW2, and basically defended western Europe from the Soviets for 50 years. So, we ask the EuroScum for one f*cking favor in Iraq, in 50 f*cking years, and the EuroScum squawks. So much for NATO.

The US is moving it's focus east as witnessed by recent basing agreements with Romania. I will laugh the day the Iranian Army marches into Paris and Berlin, because Uncle Sam will not be there to bail out the EuroScum again.

As far as I'm concerned our only reliable ally in Europe is the UK. I even have doubts about my ancestral home country of Italy. What pisses me off even more are the little EuroPipsqueak countries like Sweden and the Netherlands (another place we liberated) complaining about every damn thing we do.

Absolutely, you can also include the current Belgian government. Anti-American to the bone.

Like you say, if Europe has to defend itself, the battle will be over in a few hours.

    Continuing...
3- Chavez confiscates private property with out justification, including Kerry’s Heinz plant. I'm sure they have a justification rightly or wrongly, you just haven't supplied one or know of one.
4-Despite massive oil revenues poverty in Venezuela under Chavez has doubled (just like under any other lefty) A lie, just like what you expect from righties!
5-Chavez for years lobbied OPEC to raise oil prices to squeeze America at the behest of Castro. Yes, the grand lefty boogie man conspiracy. How did Chavez manage to single handidly take over OPEC and dictate prices?
6- CNN long ago lost all credibility when they failed to report Sadam’s kidnapping and torture of their own Camera crew to keep their preferential reporting position during the First Gulf War. Reporter Lucila Newman sanitizes news from Cuba for the same reason. What do you care, you don't even like CNN.
7-All US senators had access and reviewed the same CIA intelligence info as the Prez before voting for Saddam’s removal. No, they didn't. Bush had access to the initial analysis. He can and did choose to edit whatever he wanted before the Senate got it. This is really moot though. Chuckle nuts was going to war any way, so he'd say anything to get his war.
8- Leftist beloved Prez Clinton many times advocated in public the removal of Saddam without UN involvement. You guys are like the friggin' Sith. The man you love to hate you reference here. Anyway, Clinton didn't advocate going to with or without the UN. He wanted Saddam gone via Iraq people doing it themselves.
9- Michael Moore tampered with information and was sued by a News paper for misrepresenting and faking among many things the paper’s front page in his movie. Sued by whom? What was faked?
10- Currently in the US employment is at a record high and the stock market is soaring (attributed to tax cuts) including robust economic growth despite the recession riddle economy left behind by Clinton, 9/11, and a costly war against terror. This is news to me. I must be missing this hot economic activity and apparently the 60+% of Americans in polls feels as I do.

    Extra curriculum activity:

11- In Iraq millions are voting in free elections from all religious sectors , private business start ups showing up every where, US reconstruction projects are moving at fast pace and are 50 % completed, unemployment has been cut by 50 % and weekly salaries moved from $2.00 USD a week to $ 200.00 USD. (NBC News) OK, so why are we still in Iraq. I mean everything is so great there, our military should be out and we should all be planning our next vacations there!

I didn't know that. We don't get much news from Belgium here in the US. Our media focus regarding Europe is usually on the UK, France, Germany, Ireland and Italy. Belgium, Luxembourg, The Netherlands and Scandanavia are sort of off the radar. There are no large ethnic communities from those countries in the US, or the ethnics are nearly 100% assimilated.

Seriously though, Newsmax is rubbish. The Onion, a satirical online journal is more on point http://www.theonion.com/content/index

So we have at least TWO republicans on these boards generally filled with left-leaning whiners. I may be rarer than a California Republican like you; I am a New York City conservative Republican. Bush actually got 150,000 more NYC votes in 2004 than in 2000. My home borough of Staten Island voted for Bush over Kerry. (Staten Island is NYC's smallest and most conservative borough. Of our 3 councilmen, 2 are republicans and the 3rd is a conservative democrat.)

I'll be the first to admit Kerry was a lousy candidate, though he is better than the wanna be dictator we are enduring. I know some of my fellow Dems disagree but Dean was superior to Kerry. Kerry didn't get as many votes as Barbara Boxer (one of our senators) did during the election so I can see Kerry losing some NYC votes in '04. Barbara is unabashedly liberal and we love her for that.

Dean is a crazy man, he has no self-control. And from what Dem friends tell me, Dean has done a lousy job of raising money which is the party chairman's main task. Kerry on the other hand is a despicable person. He plays 'war hero' in 2004 after spending a lifetime denigrating the US military.

Kerry is particulary despicable for his 1970 meeting with the North Vietnamese and Vietcong in Paris while they were killing American soldiers that 'war hero' Kerry now professes to care so much for.

From 'war hero' Kerry's own lips---

"I have been to Paris. I have talked with both delegations at the peace talks, that is to say the Democratic Republic of Vietnam and the Provisional Revolutionary Government," Kerry told the committee, referring to the North Vietnamese and Viet Cong delegations by their formal names.

Hey, at least 5, Mixmachine and Discoman are also Republicans and I'm a Christian-Democrat and Republican. Just let me explain that. The name "Democrat" is used by two parties here.

You have the VLD, who are the liberal democrats (=US Democrats) and you have the CD&V, which I am a member of, who are the Christian-democrats (=US Republicans).

In Belgium we use the name Republican for those people who are opposed to the King as head of state and who want to see him replaced by an elected president. Our party is Republican and we form a coalition with the NVA, which is the New Flemish Alliance.

Then you have the extreme right Vlaams Belang (Flemish Interest) who are in fact neo-nazis and already convicted for utterly racist policies. No party in Belgium wants to form a coalition with them, although they have 1 million voters out of 5,5 million Flemish people.

At this moment we are only in power in the Flemish government but not in the Federal. Polls, however indicate a 33% victory in the next votes. (out of 55% Flemisch, the other 45% are the Walloons and the German part who have their own parties)

Then you have the Socialist Party, the Green Party which are blatant communists. And you have Spirit, a left-liberal bunch of morons.

Since the VLD and the Socialists are in power in the Belgian government, our unemployment figures have doubled, our economy is slowing down much higher then in our neighbour countries and our Social Security system is virtually bankrupt.

When our party was leading the federal government 6 years ago, thousands and thousands of jobs were created, pension funds were healthy and we had a federal financial reserve.

After 6 years of left governing, our state is going down the drain because, mainly, Socialists threw taxmoney out of the windows. We have free public transport now (a communist idea of course) but our buses, tramways and trains are breaking down daily coz' there's no money left to repair them properly.

People now have to save money for their own pension coz' the contributions they made during life-time are spend on megalomanic building projects doctored by the politburos.

More and more middle class people are on welfare and only 1 outta 3 Belgians is an active employee and thus contributor to the treasury.

Great result the left and caring-for-the people Sossies have come up with.

And let me predict the future. Normally in 2 years we will be in power again and we can try to refill the state-wallets. We'll have to take tough and some unpopular decisions and then after 4 years of governing we will be the bad guys for doing that and the Commies and Sossies will attack us, perhaps beat us and the spending can restart again.

    Socialism in Belgium=Big Bull

Hey, I'm just doing my litttle bit to counterpunch the years of lies propagated by the right about liberals. They've made it a dirty word so many of us are starting to say enough!
