I just heard new version of their song "Move in my direction", it's house mix and it sounds really good!
I just got this in the mail yesterday.. Really getting into it. Too bad it hasn't really done quite as well as expected (or as it should have). To be honest, I'm enjoying this more than Madonna's new one, you know, that other hyped "dance" comeback. :P Aside from the two singles, some really outstanding tracks on here!
Anyone else here heard this yet?

This new Bananrama album is on my christmas present list.. cant wait to hear it. I love the two singles they released recently. Always been a HUGE fan of the `nanas and its so great to see em back in action !
I heard they did a version of "Hypnotic Tango". Is it any good?
The song is actually called Look On The Floor (Hypnotic Tango) and it's very good! It's a mixture of an original song with the chorus from Hypnotic Tango. I love the Angel City remix...a nice groove around 122 bpm with those laid back Banana vocals...sounds a bit like Andrea True Connection. The HT chorus works quite nicely too adding a bit of familiarity to a new song.Originally Written by nrgbeat
OOhhh I love this album!! I had preordered it from the uk. The first single "Move In My Direction" was nice but not great imo, the second single "Look On The Floor (Hyptnotic Tango)" kinda disappointed me at first because the non-chorus part is outstanding, great base and melody, but the chorus is not up to it. When I got the album I liked it a bit. Already the second time I had superfavorites like "I Feel For You" a very dancey trancey thing WOW, and then "Your Love Is Like A Drug" which I would definitely place in the good ole Italo Disco category, which I so love. Other great ones are "Lovebite" "Frequency" and even "Waterfall" which I hated at first because it almost sounds out of key. Now, I have recommended this cd to everyone who wanted to listen and so far at least 4 have bought it and LOVED IT, just as much as they loved the Rachel Stevens cd. Rachel Stevens was a girl in this stupid uk teen tv show where this group sang and danced. She was compared to Kylie Minogue last years though never stood up to the competition with her first album. This new one "Come And Get It" is a masterpiece. 80s music galore, lots of "borrowed" classics make cool new songs and I seriously advise you to get it!
Back to the Nanas, I think the Solasso Remix of LOTF, which the last time I check was looped on the main page of their official website (check them out a the Montreux Jazz Festival!) www.bananarama.co.uk, is the best one.
The album did very poorly, only released in the uk and japan so far, rumor has it it has been pulled to be rereleased in a couple of months with better (or shall I say WITH) promotion. It's supposed to come out in Germany in Feb/March. Don't wait, get it now!
Yeah "I Feel For You" and "Your Love Is Like A Drug" are probably my favourites.. Those two and Lovebite remind me of the sound from Dannii Minogue's "Neon Nights" album from a few years back. I guess it's no wonder since some of the same people who worked on Dannii's album did some tracks for the girls..Originally Written by Westwood
I totally agree about the Rachel Stevens album.. One of the best pop albums of the year for sure. She's been panned for her rather anonymous vocal style, but even that can't take away from the fact that her new one is just a great album..
Oooh yes, Dannii Minogue is no longer just a shadow of her big sis, Neon Nights is a great album. I already loved her GIRL album but this showed she had really grown up.
I think it was ahead of its time if you consider that it was one of the first mainstream albums that played on this 80s vibes, synths etccccc
