Ritchie Family "Baby, I'm One Fire"

 This one is December's guilty pleasure...I just love a cooing girly chorus intonating vaguely sexual things!!!

Great orchestration on this...lush, like so much of their early stuff.

Yes, I think this song on the Arabian Nights LP is underrated, at least to the extent that I've never seen it singled out before.

I also like the part immediately after the bit you mention, where the girls go "De didi didi woah!" with a flute solo playing in the background - the "woah" of that phrase is impossibly high up, that can't have been that easy to sing? :D

My mother played this song as well as the entire Arabian Nights album to the hilt. If you play it now, it sounds like Rice Crispies "snap, crackle & pop"   !!!!!!!!!!!!! It's obvious that it nno longer can be played but I keep it for memorablia. Another beautiful song is "Romantic Love" - the last song on side 1. I have every Ritchie Family song except these two above. Both are beautiful yet underrated. :(
