    Dance With You

although its hard to pick, I think that my favorite (or one of my favorite) songs is "Dance with you" by Carrie Lucas. The song is just excellent in every way, and I love the Chorus in it, too "Dancin' with you, is all I want to do...."

I think Carrie Lucas looks pretty hot on the cover of the record, too! The other songs she made arent so great, though.
I guess I would classify her as a one hit wonder!

    Your right

I also love this song and I have danced to it a couple of times at the Disco. I wished it had a louder sound to it. I wonder why some records you can bust your ear drums out to and others you cant. Glad someone else loves Ms. Carrie.

This is one of my all time favorites too. I fell in love with it back when it came out and it was very popular with everyone in the clubs including the DJs. Like many great disco songs the break was mixed frequently by the DJs. I think I'll play it on my way home tonight. :D

I recently was trying to show a good friend how many great "house"/"club" songs nicked from disco cuts. First I played Harvey Mason's "Groovin' You" which is (to me at least) Gusto's "Disco's Revenge" (it's not a sample, more like a remake). Anyway, she didn't hear it...ha ha. Then I played her Carrie's "Dance With You"....soon as those strings hit...."Armand!". Yikes. Now, that being said...it was via Armand I got into the Miss Lucas version, but...

I always loved this song too! A great song to dance to. Carrie had another song I liked from 80-81 called "It's not what you got it's how you use it." I really liked the SOLAR sound then and they all had hits that winter at the same time. (Dynasty, Whispers, Shalamar, Lakeside). Too many memories of what it felt like to be in love for the first time. :)

I always enjoyed "Show me the way to go"-a great Leon Sylvers III groove.
I appreciated her cover of Barbara Lewis's "Hello Stranger."

    Generation X

What a bunch of untalented thiefs

I am so glad I was born late enough to not be considered a member of that horrible generation

They are the main reason why all music today is so pathetic right now

Their influence has even started to rub off my my generation

If they keep at it for a few more years I am not sure if we can even recover

Probably one of my all time favourite Carrie Lucas songs. I find most of her other stuff to be quite pleasant, but this one just has a real groove to it.. I gotta agree the "In Danceland" cover looks fab!

BTW Welcome to the forum discorecordplayer :)
