    Resurrection Of A Goddess!

Well, let's face it, with a few exceptions, over the recent years car-manufacturers were becoming die-hard commies. All the models look the same, thus incredibly ugly and it seemed that everybody is driving the same model.

Where are the days of the goddesses like the French DS,

a car that always seduced me. In fact, even the divine designers from Citroën were producing fast food in recent times. That is....till they released this one, the forthcoming C6.

It'll be released next february but I, yes yours truly, have driven it already. Yesterday, when a good friend of ours, who is a tv-presenter, had a show model for his automobile-magazine.

I fell in love, I almost kissed it and maybe this one will be in my garage next spring, maybe...

The frogs can't build cars. They only lie and f**k with their faces. :P

    With all due respect.

    Johan,

That's an interesting update of a classic. Sort of looks more like a Volkswagen from the rear and a Toyota Prius up front than a Citroën. What's the powerplant and drivetrain like? The fact that you say you have to have one really has me curious.

I understand it's fuel is all of the wine the frogs are no longer selling in the U.S. :P

And to think my family shed blood for the likes of those people.

    DiscoMan,
Everyone would be better served if you stayed on topic. Thanks.

Bernie, it's a 2.7 liter V6 HDI. It has an updated pneumatic system like the former DS and it has a little spoiler that opens when the car is driving fast. Also an electronic parking-brake, a lane departure system, a head-up display and cruise control.

It is a real pleasure ride, smooth, very quiet on the inside and incredibly comfortable. It was a big surprise for me too coz' usually I'm not that keen on French cars. I also tested the Lexus LS430 which wasn't bad at all, absolutely not

Videoskooter, you'd be well advised to stick with the Lexus.

Nope, Japanese cars aren't worth a dime on the European 2nd-hand market, that's why I never buy 'em. Neither is Citroën

I liked that one very much but the resale-value of the Merc
is unbeatable so, I ordered this one (same type/colour as the pic),
and it will be at our disposition February the 25th. End of discussion, period, basta, finito

Excellent choice Johan! That is a beautiful car and I'm sure you won't mind letting me take it for a spin on the roads of Belgium. 8) Let us know when you get it and your experience with it.

Good choice. German cars hold their value here as well. Japanese, American and Brit cars take a beating on the second hand market here. I've bought excellent condition Cadillacs and Jaguars for pennies on the dollar compared to their original cost. My friends are amazed when I tell them what I paid for what I got. And yet they still mortgage their houses and families for that new AUDI, BMW or Merc. Go figure... :-?
