Since then, he's put out some awesome remixes of tracks like John Davis & The Monster Orchestra's 'I Can't Stop', 'Gotta Get Your Love' by Gary Davis and Sanction (or Clyde Alexander), and recently he put out a couple of BT Express 12" remixes of Express and Peace Pipe.
I mention these because I just discovered he just put out a CD called 'Kenny Dope Presents Randy Muller's Best' where he revisits a number of Randy Muller's tracks from Brass Construction, to BT Express, to Skyy.
What I really like about Kenny Dope's approach to remixing is that they are faithful to the sounds of the originals. There aren't any added synth drums, and there isn't any looping or effects that would make the mixes sound anachronistic. In other words, they sound like they could have been made back in the day.
Do you guys dig what Kenny Dope Gonzalez is doing?
While I've already got the BT Express tracks on vinyl 12"s, I'm pretty psyched over the Brass Construction tracks. Skyy - not so excited, but that's just my taste...
