...which only has one true disco song, "Tragedy" :)
Also, it has that funky track 'Love You Inside Out'. It sounds like a throwback to the Children of The World record. The groove sounds like 'Boogie Child' and 'You Stepped Into My Life'.
Disco Funk
For me the title track is the best. Not disco, of course, but then they weren't all that disco either.![]()
Their next LP, "Living eyes", is awesome. However, by 1982 nobody wanted to listen to the B.G.s anymore! :)
An overlooked gem from "Spirts Having Flown" is "Living Together". It is a catchy disco tune just like "Tragedy". Another disco gem "Subway" from "Children of The World" (1976) album is another song worth listening to although it was not officially a single.
"Love you Inside Out". And the title track from "Spirits Having Flown" has always been one of my favorite BeeGees songs. It's so tropical sounding and breezy, reminds me of laying on a beach watching ships roll by, and Barry Gibb outdoes himself doing falsetto vocals at the end. And there's 2 songs, "Why?" and "One More Look at the Night" on Andy Gibb's second album that are almost as good...
Nano and Discotom73, I agree with your observations.
"Tragedy" was a "Disco" song??? :o :o :o
Man -o- man.....
Wasn't from this LP a song called "UNTIL"?
It got some air play here.
Although I am not not a Bee-Gees fan, it was a beautiful tune.
