    Classic Uptempo Disco

A few more samples I took off of a mixtape I got.

"Let the music play" is the only lyrics I hear in this one.

I can't tell if he is saying "Sweat" or "Swing"

"Ooh ooh baby, the music is right, people around us...." is all I can recognize.

This one sounds like a gem. "Where I go. Who I see. What I do. Where..do...I...go?" sung by a gospel-sounding choir.

    Thanks in advance.

#1 is Destination--I think it's called "The Beginning" from the LP "From Beginning To End"...that moves into the "Move On Up Suite"

#2 seems to be "Shake" by someone (GQ?)

#3 I thought sound like it was gonna become "Come On & Do It"--but that's a guess.

#4 seems to be titled "Where Do I Go"--never heard this one before

Thanks a lot man. I think that second one is saying "shake" as well, not that I listen more closely. I'll let you know what I can dig up.

I think the last one is from that Hair 12" produced by Warren Schatz with Vicki Sue Anderson, The Brothers, and NYCC. One of the tracks from that play is Where Do I Go.

The other tracks don't sound familiar. The second sample sounds like they're saying 'Sway'. I don't think it's GQ.

I will definetely be on the look for that...although it sounds like it may take some time :). Thanks alot mr disco funk.

Also, to clarify, did you mean the play "Hairspray"? Because I know that is a very popular production, but I am unaware of one called "Hair."

For those who care, sample two is titled "Sway," by Mighty Pope. I got the song, and it is great.

You've never heard of 'Hair'? It was a late 60's play that spawned songs like 'Age of Aquarius', 'Let The Sunshine In', and 'Easy To Be Hard', in addition to the title song. It was made into a movie in '79 starring Treat Williams.
