Today, Jeff mentioned the idea of a "Movie Quote Quiz" to me as a possible fun topic for the forum. (We loves our lyric quizzes!!!) Now since I spent yesterday listing a lot of my favorite quotes in the "Gay Speak" thread, I'm scraping the bottom of the barrel for something to start with. But, this should be an easy one.

Name the movie and the actress who said:

"I'm a widow from the South side. My ole man left me with six kids...the heat's been off for a week and all the kids got a flu...whattya gonna do for me?"

Ok, since no one is gonna bite on the one above, I'm gonna offer up a second line of movie dialogue:

    Quote:
"You never **** me and I always have to drive."

Name the movie and the actress.

    "Lost inside adorable illusion...."

OK, since no one is nibbling on my bait, I guess I better work this a bit with more clues.

    1) "What's a rim job?" (The clue to this is the source of all Graham's taglines).

    2) "You never **** me and I always have to drive". (This movie is about people who steal--NOT mp3's!!!--set in the 1970's).

Oh, and I've wanted to say this for a long time--BUT, much to my own surprise, actually restrained myself.

Someone who steals is a "thief"; two or more persons who steal are "thieves". Sorry, just the "schoolmarm" in me comin' out.

I think Graham is into "Southside Park", something I still have never seen. I would have no idea who the actor/actress might be.

I'll take a wild guess on #2. Either BUNNY O'HARE or THE GETAWAY.........probably both guesses are incorrect.

Nicky, you're almost there. Graham, ya wanna just finish it off?

Boodi, I guess this is harder than I thought.
My clues have mislead. The movie is set in the 1970's, in the Pacific Northwest, but was released in 1989. I thought this line was more well-known than I guess it is. If I tell too much more, I think I'm giving it away....Try again.

    Goddess,

I just thought about your "Bunny O'Hare" answer and cracked up.

This obscure little-known 1972 starred Bette Davis & Ernie Borgnine as bank robbers who disguised themselves as hippies. The ad featured the twosome on a motorcylcle.

I would pay good money to hear Bette Davis say "You never **** me and I always have to drive" to Ernest Borgnine!!!!

    More clues:

    1) Who's mom is a bitch?

    2) William S. Burroughs

OK. Let's just put this to rest.

    1). "What's a rim job?"

Kyle's Mom (Sheila Broslofski) in "South Park"

2). "You never **** me and I always have to drive"

Kelly Lynch to Matt Dillon in "Drugstore Cowboy".

    New One:

Who said? "Jihad (Holy War) is alternately exhilarating and enervating".

    Answer: Me

Boy, was I confused: I thought both quotes were from the same movie!

I remember that one of the boys asked about a rim job in the South Park movie, but coupled with the other quote, I was thrown off. Not that I would have gotten Drugstore Cowboy anyway.

I'll post my movie quote quiz in a new thread...

Marky, just as an aside... "Jihad" does not really mean "Holy war", despite what the media tells you. Any Arabic-speaking person can tell you that "divine struggle" is a much more accurate translation. Furthermore, the term "Jihad" usually implies a struggle within oneself, i.e. a struggle against temptation, or a struggle for spiritual purity.

You still wanna stand by that statement?

I remember that one of the boys asked about a rim job in the South Park movie...
Actually, it isn't asked by one of the boys (although Stan does go on a quest to find the clitoris). It happens early in the movie, when the boys are pulled into Mr. Mackey's office for swearing. Sheila asks "What did my son say, Mr. Mackey? Did he say the s-word? The f-word?!". Mackey then hands her a list of some of the things the kids were saying. Puzzled, she says "What's a rim job?!"

Crack-whore Ms. Cartman nonchalantly replies "Oh, that's when someone puts your legs behind your head and licks your ass."

Your retelling makes more sense characterization-wise than my faulty memory, Graham.

I guess when/if you post movie quotes we can just guess South Park and stand a good chance of being correct.

Guys, I thought I was an American cinema connoisseur until I read this thread.
And I'm a fan of "Drugstore Cowboy"! It's a great movie, and I kinda fell in love with a young "Renaissance" face (Heather Graham). Well, I also thought Gus Van Sant was a great promise for film auteurs...

So Nano--you're saying that you know the movie "Drugstore Cowboy" but don't know the line I quoted? Hmmm??? Not sure what you meant.

I assure you it's in there. After the relationship sours and all Matt wants to do is drugs, Kelly lets him have it.

I think it's a memorable line. Guess I'm the only one!!!!
