    Favourite 10 Min-Plus Songs?

Sometimes long disco songs can be tedious to listen all the way through. What are some dance tracks that you can listen to from beginning to end without wanting to skip to the next song after several minutes?

    Mine are:

Disco Inferno - The Trammps (approx 11 min)
Love To Love You Baby - Donna Summer (approx 17 min)
Disco Extravangza - GB Experience (approx 13 min)
Love's Coming/Baby Love - USA European Connection (approx 12 min)
Love In C Minor - Frankie Crocker (approx 10 min)
Turn On To Love - Jumbo (approx 17 min)
Cocomotion - El Coco (approx 11 min)

A wise man from Southampton told me once: "Listen to the long tracks coz' they will lead you to paradise".

-Love & Kisses: "You must be love"
    -Love & Kisses: "Accidental lover"
-Love & Kisses: "I've Found Love"
-Love & Kisses: "You'll never know how much I love you"
-Alec R. Costandinos: "Romeo & Juliet"
-Alec R. Costandinos: "Hunchback of Notre Dame"
    -Cerrone: "Love in C minor"
    -Cerrone: "Cerrone's paradise"
    -Ceronne: "Look for love"
-Munich Machine: "Get on the funk train"
-Love-De-Luxe: "Here comes that sound again"
    -Chocolats: "Kings of clubs"
-Donna Summer: "Love to love you baby"
-Donna Summer: "Je t'aime moi non plus"
    -Madleen Kane: "Forbidden love suite"
    -Trammps: "Disco inferno"
    -El Coco: "Cocomotion"
    -Meco: "Star Wars"
    -The Boris Midney catalogue.

Praise to the man from Southampton who revealed all these prophecies to me. Or like Julius Caesar said: "Quinnius eternalis est in Britannia et Hispania"

I never get tired of listening to the full fifteen plus minutes of Giorgio Moroder's 'Evolution'....and the Love Is The Ultimate Medley by Ultimate runs for a nice fourteen and half minutes of pure bliss too.

My favourite dance tune that clocks in at just under twelve minutes, however, is actually a 90's track: 'Dance In Neon Light' by Barbara Doust remixed by Tom Moulton!

I agree about EVOLUTION (I never tire of that one) :D :D :D ...but most of these songs that go on for 15+ minutes are Toooooooooooooo Loooooooooong for me. After 10 minutes..it's usually time for a new record. Just my opinion...now a 3 song Gloria Gaynor or Donna Summer medley is a different thing. They work perfectly...but the same song gets tiresome..... :P :(

    favorite 10 minute song?

the 12" version of Barbra Pennington's "24 Hours a Day" is my favorite. The strings and the many false endings are full of suspense and quite thrilling. But it's about 45 seconds under 10 minutes. No matter though, it is overwhelming...

I'm with you OSF ..... this song still strongly resonates within my disco core .... just has a special disco flavor all its own ( & powerful up front strings and vocals ) . Transports me back to Studio One in LA every time 8) :) ....

The one song I remember as being especially stretched ( maybe just under ten though ) ..... yet it still seemed like every second of the song mattered .... was "HIT AND RUN " Loleatta Holloway . Listened to it all the way through every time . It was my drive around with the top down song during its summer of dominance ..... Sassy and confident ..... it elevated the Salsoul sound .....

A lot classier than it sounds :P The entry says 4.16, but my mp3 runs 12.54

I'd forgotten about The Love Symphony Orchestra....it keeps going & going...but you never lose interest. Slicker than my usual taste in disco, but well done. "Let Me Be Your Fantasy" is another great cut by them :P
