I was listening to the radio tonight when Love To Love You Baby by Donna Summer came on. I remember recently the discussion about an earlier mix of the track before the long LP version was created. At first I thought the radio track was by a different artist because the vocals 'Iiiiii love to love you baby' in the intro sounded slightly different from Donna Summer's voice. Once the music kicked in, I knew it was her version, but still it sounded slightly different from the versions I've heard. The noticeable differences were the lack of strings, no 'love to love you baby baby' female chorus vocals in the outro, and a loud clavinet leading the instrumentation out of the middle hi-hat breakdown section.

So, was this the original mix I heard? Has this mix appeared on CD?
