They sound like Euro library stock music, like the KPM stuff. Did you take those sounds samples from a movie?
Disco Funk
Yep they from a movie
Jimmy, is this from porn?? :o LOL! 8)
Quite frankly Jimmy, I'm surprised you're even bothering with these tracks. What's soooo good about 'em?
Ohh Quinny your taste is just umm...god knows LOL and yes they from a porn to who asked.
What's the name of the flick? Perhaps someone on the board might know if it had an OST or if the tracks were taken from particular library albums.Originally Written by DJ Jimmy M
Disco Funk
The name of the flick is "Maraschino Cherry" released in 1978 (also stars Wade Nichols aka Dennis Parker). Not sure if theres an OST cause like other porn flicks in the era that actualy had one ("Hot Rackets" had a damn niceeeee original OST from 1979, hard core original disco and funk), because in this one theres no credits to anyone who made music for the film (which is another reason I took my buddy's suggestion).
Theres many different styles in this particular film, you have your old early 70s bar jazz type stuff, the morning disco (as heard in 2 samples), the Biddu soundin stuff and the disco/funk. If anyone has any info would be great though. Me and several others are lookin to find out.
Would love to hear this! I have noticed the soundtracks of the classic porn flicks always carried eurodisco sounding music. I tried doing a search on GEMM and nadda! Any help on where I can find me a copy of the OST of this flick??Originally Written by DJ Jimmy M
Thansks.
Unfortunatly, the OST (like most porn flicks) was never released. It was done by some guy named Oliver Edmonds. I actualy had took some of the music of this flick, remixed it and put it in a porn medley megamix i did...was the only way to enjoy this great unreleased music. And yep, it was a combo of 100% eurodisco and disco/funkOriginally Written by discofrank
I would love to hear it! I know alot of the old 'falcon' and 'colt' studio releases of the times had interesting disco as a backdrop to the sex scenes. I vaguely remember watching one where they played "No Romance" by Theo Vaness during a window washing scene..Originally Written by DJ Jimmy M
The "Emmanuelle" movies during this time also featured great music. Do you think most of this original music was canned (left-over) material from producers who couldn't release them for some reason?
Actualy the final (real) Emanuelle film had an OST that got released with music by Serge Gainsbourg (I believe this may have been where his disco hit "Sea Sex And Sun" came from? I know it was some french porn OST though lol), but that particular LP was only avalible in France and goes for a hell of alot of money whenever someone is selling one.
Frank, go and drop me an email at clubdisco1979@yahoo.com
"Sea Sex And Sun" is from the 1978 comedy film "les Bronzes", available on dvd in France. Serge's score for "Goodbye Emmanuelle" had no actual disco stuff as such but the title track is a danceable fusion of reggae and soca. The film looks again like an endless shampoo commercial, this time made in the Caribbean instead of the orient, with less action than the previous chapters.Originally Written by DJ Jimmy M
The Emmanuelle films and the (Black) Emanuelle flicks are two fifferent things. The "offical" copyrighted series of Emmanuelles with two ms went beyond the one under discussion, to a number six, albeit without Sylvia Kristel, and on to a well-produced tv series, with music by Cerrone. The Emanuelles with one m were bizarre soft core sex/hard core violence ripoffs churned out in Italy by the notorious hack director Aristide Massaccesi/Joe D'Amato, plus a few other directors, during the late 70's. All starring the vacantly staring Laura Gemser as the globetrotting reporter, "Emanuelle and the last cannibals/Trap them and kill them", "Emanuelle in America" and "Emanuelle around the world" are the oeuvres most recommended, the first 2 are on dvd. All 3 contain very good eurodisco scores by Nico Fidenco, and there's a cd comp out too by Dagored, "Black Emanuelle groove".
