This album is a guilty pleasure of mine. But then again I'm a huge fan of Jacques Morali's sound. Plus if it came out on Casablanca - of course I had to have it. But I would have loved extended mixes of certain tracks. "Around the world" is one of them.

It's not bad, but it could've been a lot better. As is sometimes the case with concept albums, the concept gets in the way of the album. If they'd focused more on making the songs so that they could stand on their own instead of as part of a story, it would've been a lot better... especially since the story still doesn't get told very coherently anyway. Same problem that kinda wrecks Costandinos' Hunchback of Notre Dame IMHO.

Bruno, you are so right. I don't understand why there was no 12" on Saint Louis for one...I personally think this was a contractual obligation album, a favour basically because of her relationship with Victor Willis ... it's just a thought but perhaps not too far fetched. The promotion on this was negligible..shame. parts of it were real and then some..

Hey Bruno: I`m aware that many of the CDs at "Medium Rare" are bootlegs. Then again they provide a valuable service ie. getting hard to find albums the neccessary pubicity. I hope some of the profits goes back to the artists. Wishful thinking!
