    SHEILA E :HOLD ME

    Just won the 12" copy of HOLD ME by SHEILA E.I originally heard this great ballad on the LP/Album. Was it a big hit when it was released in 87 ?

    It's from her third album: "Sheila E" and yes, it was a big hit, one of her last I'm afraid, coz' after that she sort of faded away a little bit till Prince asked her to join the New Power Generation a few years ago.

    yeah, they even played it on local stations over here back then. Great song and very different from the other stuff she did.

    It was a "turnable hit" meaning that it got more airplay than single sales. Most people probably bought the album; thus the 45 sales were reduced.
