Nobody...???...
They must have fade away in history then...!!
I have a 12 inch from a British girl group, Street Angels- "Dressing Up" from 1983, written by Steve Jerome, produced by Morris/Phillips/Morris for Handle Records Ltd, Dick James Music, STBX 100 (810 273-1) -Street Beat-.
I think it's a great song, but haven't heard anything about them again.
Anybody who has info on those 4 Angels?

Don't know that much about them although that was a great track which I shall dig out.
I think that one of the Street Angels was actually Linda Taylor who did the tracks 'In the pocket' and 'You and me just started' which were UK tracks that were subsequently picked up by Prelude records in the US. If I'm rememering these facts correctly, then if you do some internet searching on Linda Taylor there might be more leads on the Street Angels. I only rememember the one track by them.
OK, thanks, I found a Linda Taylor website, she's blond, middle aged now, so she could well have been one of those Street Angels from 23 years ago..., altough she doesn't mention it on her site!Originally Written by Zef
Linda Taylor was indeed lead singer with The Street Angels and had a solo club hit in the Brit Funk era with You and Me just Started.
Around that time she also sang for Cayenne 'Roberto Who?' and with Morrisey Mullen.
Previous to this she was part of the uk disco group Gonzalez who had the chart disco hit 'I haven't Stopped Dancing Yet'.
During the 80's she had a career as a top session singer for Art of Noise, Go West, Chris Rea, SAW, and many others.
If you need any more info I am happy to oblige.
Thanks

Linda Taylor had a hi-nrg hit in 1986 with EVERY WAKING HOUR. She did backing vocals on many PWL tracks. She seemed a very busy session singer during the 80`s/90`s along with TRACY ACKERMAN & JACKIE RAWE
Street Angels had a hi-nrg track out in 1985 called 'One Bite' on Handle records. It appeared on the Streetsounds 'Eurobeat' mixed compilation LP where it was mixed in between 'Both Sides Now' by Viola Wills & 'Midnight Lover' by People like Us.
...ya gotta beat the street......
All true . . . .
Though her main partner in session singing crime during the mid 80's was Tessa Niles.
More recent sessions have included the likes of Madonna and Diana Ross.
And she is still singing to this day, and recently featured on a funky breakbeat track called 'I found Love' on one of my Record labels Streetwise Recordings.
