"Give Me A Break" by The Ritchie Family

Never been a huge fan of these gals...usually consider them cheese-o BUT I am a fan of "I'll Do My Best" & this cut....wanted to know if the 12" mix is available anywhere. Also, is "Sophistication" on CD anywhere??? How did this song fair in the clubs...it's a great funky early 80's cut...way above their "Put Your Feet To The Beat" sort of schlock....

The downloadable version of Give Me A Break at iTunes clocks in at 6:26 if that helps any.

Casablanca put out out a 12" of Give Me A Break, but I believe it's the LP version.

A short version of Sophistication is on the Can't Stop The Music OST CD.

I think that the Give Me A Break LP is their most solid effort overall.

I downloaded the "Peanut Vendor/Frenesi/Brazil" medley and "Summer Dance", "Quiet Village/Voodoo" and from iTunes. What great songs!
