Although I've never heard this song before, it sounds like something the late Harry Thumann would have done.

Yes Bernie... the trumpet sounds pretty much like in ACR tracks, also they often have a dominating bass, wild percussion and a bit of noise though this one comes straighter and more upfront than other ACR tracks I know.
At least I get the typical white (New Wave) Funk flavour of the early 80s.

The sequencer synth also could be a hint for nowadays retro-edit like Rong Records do....great track anyway!

I have googled my a** off as it comes to "A Certain Ratio" but there are too many hits and none of them are related to Harry Thumann.

ACR only was a guess - nothing from the LPs, possibly some 12" mix.

I listened to Harry Thuman's 'Underwater', synth noises are similar, but I think there are no disco/italo influences in your tune.

Hope somebody really got a clue and this one will be solved..... :-?
