    ROME-The Series

My fellow Romans, we just watched the first episode of the series "Rome" and we were thrilled. Beautiful settings, great drama, great acting and gorgeous women.

We are a little surprised that, at least as a far as we know, nobody has mentioned this fabulous play on the board yet. Are there other amateurs of this feast present.

It is broadcast for the first time on Wednesday 2nd November in the UK.

BTW: You didn't mention the more obvious reason why most peole will be tuning in........it cost £64 million pounds. Oh yeah, and there are quite a few sex scenes and full frontal nudity. Not everyone watches hard porn on DVD all the time.

Q, , I won't give away the story either, but you will not be dissapointed naughty, naughty.

Serious, it's a very well made series (the 1st episode anyway) and it's very different compared to "I, Claudius". And, although much of it is probably done with digital wizzardry, it looks very realistic.

The only thing that always bothers me is the language. Romans spoke Latin, not English. Just like in the Warmovies, Germans, French, they all speak the same language. I think I'm gonna buy this series on DVD and choose the Italian dubs. This is a small criticism since the mainly British actors are excellent but... When in Rome, you do like the Romans do :)

Hmmm. Can't say I was overly impressed with the first episode. I'll watch it one more week and then decide whether or not to carry on with it.

All 9 episodes of Rome have been excellent. I'm just scared HBO will pull a "Carnivàle" on me and shut the series down without ending it. :x

Yah, yah. I'm late to this topic but I finally caught a glimpse of this on HBO. I happened to notice that one of the hottest babes on screen is in this. Indira Varma who plays Niobe, is one sweet ass woman. I don't know if she gets nekid in the series but she did in Kama Sutra. Very delicious :P :D

Paul, they ALL get naked in the series. Great times. I think I would feel at home in the ancient Rome :o
