not sure if this is the right place to ask, but what exactly constitutes disco music?
is that the crap my parents used to listen and dance to when i was a child? like abba, and earth wind and fire.

cos if thats it then anyone dancing to that utter disturbance in the force should be shot. you people should listen to some gangsta rap, or hip-hop. you can really get you shake down with that **** man......keep it real.

As a matter of fact I like Abba and I don't appreciate the fact that you called my favorite music crap.

With an attitude like yours you don't belong on this site.

Do us all a favor. BUY A GUN AND SHOOT YOURSELF!!!

Hey man, i don't think me shooting myself in the head would solve any of your dated problems. we all have our opinions, did i ask you to commit suicide cos you listen to crap....nope. its just the typical attitude i would expect from someone who has no forward thinking in their lives.

    Dated problems??

I suppose Gangsta Rap Crap is really original when every song uses a sample from an old disco or funk song and every song is about killing cops, ho's and bitches.

Before you condemn disco take a listen to some of the **** you listen to and find out where most of it originated from.

This is a site for people who enjoy disco and dance music. While not everyone shares the same opinion on what they like/dislike, there is no place on this board for someone who thinks disco music is crap.

Take your gangsta records and go back to da hood!!!

    Hello,

And welcome to the internet. Its nice to have yet another greenhorn newbie to smite.

ALL YOUR FORUM ARE BELONG TO US is a witty reference to the phenomenon ALL YOUR BASE ARE BELONG TO US. I would suggest you check http://www.aybabtu.com/ before posting a reply.... You ignorance is embarrassing and offensive.

Well, I took his dare and clicked on that link (hey, it's my work computer! ) and it's another forum site like this one, but nothing to do with music; lots of tech talk, X Box, etc. Btw: "CATP" apparently stands for "cat amongst the pidgeons" (their spelling, not mine).

And hairlip really did put a link to this site there, called "Bad Disco Dude."

Ignore him; such an immature punk is sure to have a short attention span and he'll go away soon.

Unless... you don't think he could be an old friend of ours, do you...? :???:

"Peace." "Keep it real." How about "Cut the crap"?

And what the hell does "bling bling" mean anyway??!

So is your bad spelling and grammar.

And you call this "witty"? Go away.

Bling-Bling is when someone is supposedly sparkling with diamonds or wearing/posessing flashy diamonds or platinum. It's a dumb gangsta/thug thing. I would leave this alone too....he ain't got no edjamacayshun!

All of us should know if we feed into this one, we're going to fall into the trap. Actually, they're talking to themselves and we're responding with each other. Feel me!

    A few points:

    - AYBABTU jokes ceased to be amusing over a year ago. You might as well shout "Show me the money!", "You've been voted off the island", or "You are the weakest link. Goodbye."

    - AYBABTU humour can really only appreciated by videogame/emulation enthusiasts. This is a music forum. And it's also a forum dedicated to music that was made long before AYBABTU became an internet in-joke of the moment. It goes without saying that a lot of people here aren't going to get the reference, just like most folks on a video game/emulation site aren't going to get any references to Cerrone's ego or size.

    - Since you'd be flamed out of existence if you used an AYBABTU reference on a site where people would know or care about where it came from, I can only conclude that you came here because you figured you'd seem So "cool" and "hip" with all your in-talk. This is akin to walking around an office building with a boombox blasting something by The Notorious B.I.G., and thinking that you're soooo hip and cool because none of the suits have heard your shitty noises before.

    - There are far more amusing examples of Engrish to be found in other videogames... just try any SNK game for example.

    - Lose the smugness. Most people here aren't new to the internet, they just don't care about silly little jokes that died out months ago. Unlike you, some of us have lives.

Normally I wouldn't repond to a hopelessly juvenile such as this one (I stopped that when I left the last message board I posted at), but I'll do it anyways, so here we go:

Is this a serious question? Somehow I doubt it, so I won't answer it.

is that the crap my parents used to listen and dance to when i was a child? like abba, and earth wind and fire.
Did it ever occur to you that it's just a matter of taste? What one person thinks is crap, another thinks is good music (duh!). If you don't like it, then simply don't listen to it, and let those who do enjoy it.

cos if thats it then anyone dancing to that utter disturbance in the force should be shot.
I won't even bother to respond to this comment, seeing how immature it is. Next.

you people should listen to some gangsta rap, or hip-hop. you can really get you shake down with that **** man......keep it real.
I would rather choke on my own vomit that listen to gangsta rap and hip-hop. I hate that ****. For me it's torture. But like I said before, it's just a matter of taste. By the way, nrgbeat is right on the money about rap.

Come on why start cramping down on
    ethnic minorities
when this is probably some pimpleheaded teenage boy immitating to be of a certain ethnic decent which he by all probabilty is not.
Lets not forget that Jive is dialect widely appreciated and used in disco songs......

    Ok
so some people's tempers are read hot after the last topics

    but now
let see the sarcasm in this post
    this 'teenager'
    is immitating his favorite Comic

    Ali G
His stuff is funny to anyone who really loves or hates hip hop.
Because he try's to live the Gangsta Rap label.

And after I read Outsiders Disection of Hairlips post

    I noticed the similiraty
so lets just laugh this one off
and congratulate hairlip on succeding to stirr up a fire.
Cause after all that was the only thing he was after.....

I just don't see the point...
    of their website????

To Post up threads where people have gotten angry with them.....

This must tell you a thing or two about their real lives!
and about the lack of emotions they experience in it
    so any emotions will do......

And at least my Idea of a splendid weekend isn't linking up my Computer with fellow minded nerds and playing CounterStrike till my eyes bleed......

    But Hey its all good
I am happy me and the other forum members
could provide you with a little drama in your life
    that you so desperatley crave......

    WOW,
I havent been here in a while and i see this..lol, come on. Interesting where they found the link unless it was like i did just typing in whatever. This is a great site, lets not argue and fight and let things like this get to us. When I first found this site there was no forum. Just audio links and a weekly radio program. Then, when the forums began, there was none of this type of **** going on. Lets make it like it was if there is anyone here from those days.
