    The Imelda Marcos Disco musical

Have you heard the news: David Byrne and Fatboy Slim are preparing a musical about Imelda Marcos's obsession of shoes, dancing shoes and discotheques? This is to premiere in Australia.

Meanwhile, journalist Alan Jones had a success with a sold out lecture on Disco in London earlier this week. Star djs, illustrous guests galore. He organized a poll to find out which artists the people liked. While seminude gogo boys strutted their stuff on stage the votes were counted. Instead of the expected Donna Summers, Fatback Bands and The Blackbyrds, they voted for Costandinos, Madleen Kane, Cerrone and yes, Boris Midney! And the folks in the auditorium were mostly in their late 20's and 30's. So much for the myth of Brits being into funk only! :-)
