And what about BLONDIE"Llalame"="Call Me"?
And what about VIVA"Dance The Night Away"?
Cosmic Love & Kisses From SIRIUS & DARKTUNES
Not there yet!!
Remember, it was a remake of a well-known Salsoul track by a different artiste!!
Clue 2
Vince Montana Jnr played vibes on BOTH tracks. the original and the remake !!
Clue 3
The remake was not on Salsoul

I think the song is "RUNAWAY", originally by Salsoul and Loleatta Holloway. So, is the artist India? Wait, let me qualify --- The artist is Nuyorican Soul feat. India on lead vocals. Maybe... hopefully... I wanna win one of these darn quizes!

Off you go, and crack open a bottle of Moet Chandon!! Have a CHAMPAGNE weekend!!
Seriously though, it is a cracking good album, I think - the Best of Nuyorican Soul. You might to interested to know that copies of it found their way over the Atlantic to London, where it has been in quite big demand. I have seen it in two shops, and there was quite a buzz about it. I bought it on vinyl.
My fave tracks are of course India's version of Runanway, plus the Roy Ayers' remake of "Sweet Tears" and also, that EXCELLENT Jocelyn Brown track "Black Gold ..." (I think it is called).
And to think it was recorded in 1997!!!

Thanks for reminding me of that CD. I better pull it out and give it another listen.
I liked it, but only played it a few times before it got filed away.
"Lost inside adorable illusion...."
Nuyorican Soul is going to become one of the classic albums everyone should have. Buy it if you miss it!!!!

I'm very partial to a drop of the "Holy Water" myself - though I do prefer Irish Whiskey - and that goes just as well with a drop of ice too!!
Take care and enjoy your well-deserved drink!!
