    Disco Mixshow

    Hello,

Can someone help me in making the tracklist of this mixshow?

    http://www.unifiedrecs.com/ursounds5...fe10.22.05.ram

There are some very good disco tracks in that mixshow, especially in the first 30 min.

    Help would be much appreciated,

    Thanks

first is some "New York, New York" song...not sure which one
#2 is "Trinidad" - John Gibbs & U.S. Steel Band
next, something about "Get Your Mind Up" or was it "Make Your Mind Up'???
....lost track of the numbers here.....
then I think I heard "You're So Right For Me" by Choice Four (that's a guess--but I've heard this before; AMG says Van McCoy wrote a song with that title) [Further research leads me to the fact that the Choice Four was released in 1974 and that there was another version from 1977 by, as Quinny notes-- Eastside Connection.]

    then "Remone" - Kocky
snippet of "Welcome To The Club" - Blue Magic ("club for lonely hearts")
......"Shake it all you can....Dance to the music" (whatever it is??)
    African mumbo-jumbo jibberish
    honking sax instrumental
I'm at 38:05 and it's still the instrumental with jibberish...

OK, a new song...spoken intro...sounds like Frankie Goes To Hollywood--"Two Tribes"??? Yeah, that's it.

    some jazzy piano track....

some long track speaking the names of prominent African Americans........

The first track is a vocal version of Ahzz - New York Moving
The third track sounds like Ronnie Laws (I also thought Aquarian Dream You're A star, but it's not that?) and is infuriating 'cos I used to play it BITD.
The fifth track is Eastside Connection - You're So Right For Me

That's as far as I got before the boredom of having to wait for the sounds to be buffered every minute or so began to get the better of me.

Sorry I wasn't able to give exact IDs. Here's what I believe are the tracks (some have already been ID'd, so I'm doing them in order of when they appear in the mix)

    After Trinidad:

    1. I think it's Mass Production. I can't figure out the name of the track, but I've heard it before.
    2. It's Crown Heights Affair, but again, I can't recall the name of the cut.
    3. don't know
    4. You're So Right For Me - Eastside Connection
    5. don't know
    6. Welcome To The Club - Blue Magic
    7. don't know
    8. "shake it all you can" - don't know
    9. African track is either Manu Dibango or Fela Kuti
    10. Two Tribes by Frankie Goes To Hollywood
    11. Don't know
    12. Production sounded like Roy Ayers with vocals from those old Cannonball Adderley tracks, so I did some digging and found this thread:

It's called Remember to Remember by Rick Holmes, who was indeed the narrator on the old Cannonball Adderley cuts.
