    Miss Randy Crawford

How interesting, there's a Special Full Length U.S. Disco Mix version of Crusader's "Street Life'' . Evidently I never listened to it :) .

    Crusaders - Street Life
    1979 / Great Britain / Vinyl
    01) Street life (Special Full Length U.S. Disco Mix)
    02) The hustler

I bet its just the LP version, given a snazzy name. There was a lot of that, especially on labels like Fantasy, where they'd call it a 'special disco version', and it was just the LP mix.

The US Disco Mix of Street Life is different from the LP and although I don’t remember the 6:02 MCA 12" version this remix apparently is different as it clocks at 7:43 long.

the LP's sax /accapella intro was removed ,they added more punch to the drums and a bit of reverb to Randy's vocals, also there is a great conga breakdown with the bass and rhythm guitars solos layering over it followed by the sax solo, this version was definitely created for the dance floors and is very different from the more jazzy LP version, well worth seeking out. :D

I've seen this version before and now I must purchase it for myself!

This is weird...A US remix that by all accounts wasn't much heard in....the U.S.A. :o

It must be on quite a few comp CDs.

Classic Jazz-Funk Mastercuts Vol. 4 (CUTSCD 16) for example which may still be available.
