I haven't heard the Larry Page Orchestra track, but the other stuff are classics. Especially the Don't Stop Now LP by The Brothers. That one can be pricey. If you're getting them dirt cheap snatch them up.Originally Written by djsonic

Here's a bit of useless trivia - The Brothers version of Voce Abousou was also included on Samba Soul's S/T LP, the one with 'Mambo #5'. When I first listened to the LP, I thought that Voce sound eerily similar to The Brothers version. Then I looked on the record jacket, and apparently Warren Schatz, the producer for The Brothers, also had a hand in the Samba Soul LP. Perhaps it was too short, so he just tossed on that track to fill it out?Originally Written by Mixmachine

Picked this lot up last week in various charity shops and one second hand dealer.
James Bradley - I'm In Too Deep (the 2nd hand dealer had this in his 50p section and when I asked him to play it, the crafty beggar tried to bump it up to a fiver, cos it's soo funky!)
Sarr Band - Magic Mandrake / Double Action (more funk)
Unlimited Touch - Searching To Find The One (Prelude 12")
Tasha Thomas - Shoot Me With Your Love
Peaches & Herb - Rollerskatin Mate
Jayne Edwards - Harmony
Sticky Fingers - Wastin My Love
Jerry Knight - Overnight Sensation
Donna Summer - Love To Love You Baby (full 16 minute version)
Locka Loca - Coco Love (French CBMC)
Yasuko Agawa - New York Afternoon / LA Nights
If we're talking about recent finds, yesterday I came across a 45 I didn't even know existed. I've never seen it listed on Gemm or on any discography for Casablanca records. It was a 45 by the group Loose Change, whose self-titled LP from '79 is awesome. 'Straight From The Heart' on the A side, and an instrumental mix of 'All Night Man' on the flip, 4:45. I almost wet myself, and I paid less than $8 Canadian for a NM copy. I would love to come across an instrumental mix of 'Straight From The Heart' too, or any other song from the LP, but I think they just released one 12" (Straight From The Heart and All Night Man (extended mix)) and one 45 to promote the album.
